Sean Sellers was an American serial killer who murdered his parents and a convenience store clerk in the 1980s. He was born in 1969 in Oklahoma and was raised in a Christian family. Sellers claimed to have been influenced by heavy metal music, particularly the band AC/DC, as well as the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons.
In 1986, at the age of 16, Sellers killed his mother and stepfather in their home in Oklahoma City. A few weeks later, he shot and killed a convenience store clerk during a robbery. Sellers was arrested and ultimately convicted of murder in all three cases. He was sentenced to death and executed by lethal injection in 1999 at the age of 29.
Sellers' case sparked controversy and debate around the influence of outside factors, such as music and games, on his actions. Some argued that his crimes were influenced by his troubled upbringing and mental health issues, while others blamed his interests in heavy metal music and Dungeons & Dragons for leading him down a criminal path. Sellers himself claimed that he had been influenced by demonic forces.
